Principal - Mrs. Kristy Muffoletto
My name is Kristy Muffoletto and I am originally from Buffalo, NY. I earned my BA from Buffalo State College and then moved to Las Vegas in 2003. I continued my education, earning my Masters from NOVA Southeastern University. I've worked in the Elementary School setting within classrooms, I was an Instructional Coach, provided professional development for the district, and then became an Assistant Principal. I am extremely honored to be named the Principal of William and Mary Scherkenbach Elementary School, and am excited to see what the future holds for our students and community. I am eager to continue working with our students, staff, and community to make our Scherkenbach Stars succeed in every possible way!
Assistant Principal - Mrs. Dina Meyer
IMy name is Dina Mayer and I am happy to be the assistant principal of Scherkenbach Elementary School.
Before coming to Scherkenbach, I have had the opportunity to serve students and families throughout the Las Vegas valley for nearly 28 years. I have worked in a variety of capacities at the elementary school level. Whether it was working with students as an elementary teacher, serving students and teachers as a literacy specialist, or focusing on student achievement and celebrating successes as an elementary school administrator, I have always loved having the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of children. I have a great husband and two wonderful children. When I'm not at school I like to spend my time sailing on Lake Mead or in San Diego, reading books, and spending time outdoors with family and friends.
If you have questions or concerns about your child's education, remember, we are here for you. Speaking with your child's teacher is a great first step, as they can share information with you about things like your child's strengths and areas of growth, behavior, and motivation. You are also welcome to speak with me. Communication between family and the school is essential to student learning and growth. By working together as a team, we can help your child achieve success.
